Travel Fellowship Awards
In an effort to support research of early career faculty and trainees, the ANA has allocated up to $80,000 in Travel Awards to assist in covering expenses for presenting authors. The quality of the abstract will be considered, as well as the applicant’s potential to enter an investigative field of neuroscience.
To be eligible for award, an individual must:
- Be the presenting author on a submitted abstract, and;
- Be a trainee (student, resident, or fellow) or junior faculty (instructor or assistant professor)
If bestowed a travel award, the recipient must provide a letter from the search mentor / division head / chair that attests to involvement in the project.
Please note: Late Breaking Abstracts will NOT be considered for travel awards.
Awardees will be selected from the pool of eligible applicants based upon the abstract’s degree of excellence as determined by the Scientific Program Advisory Committee (SPAC). In 2017, the ANA awarded travel awards to 89 medical students, residents, and graduate fellows to present research at the ANA Annual Meeting.
