Dr. Oliver Tobin has been a member of the Mayo Clinic staff since 2015. He serves as a consultant in the Department of Neurology, and assistant professor at the Mayo Clinic College of Medicine. He is a Kern Scholar in the Center for The Science of Healthcare Delivery at Mayo Clinic where he analyzes large datasets to answer clinically relevant questions in the management of Multiple Sclerosis and related diseases. He was awarded Teacher of the Year by the Mayo fellows Association in 2017. He is a member of the Ask Mayo Expert neurology Knowledge Content Board and the multidisciplinary Mayo Clinic Histiocyte Interest Group. His specialty areas of interest include multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optica, CLIPPERS and histiocytic brain disorders. Dr. Tobin has a particular interest in the clinical, radiological and pathological correlations of multiple sclerosis and related disorders. To this end he collaborates on the Multiple Sclerosis Lesion Project, working on one of the largest cohorts of pathologically proven CNS demyelinating diseases.
