Josephe Archie Honorat MD, PhD
Josephe Archie Honorat is a research fellow in the Department of Neurology and the department of Laboratory Medicine and Pathology at the Mayo Clinic.
Dr. Honorat earned an MD from the Faculty of Medicine and Pharmacy, Haiti and a PhD in neuroimmunology from Osaka University, Japan. Her thesis research was on molecular and cellular mechanisms of multiple sclerosis. Dr. Honorat then moved to Mayo Clinic for a postdoctoral fellowship and focused her efforts on autoimmune neurology.
Her current research involves a combination of wet and dry lab approaches to identify biomarkers for autoimmune neurological diseases and to understand their mechanisms. She focused on intracellular neuronal antigens as potential targets of autoimmunity.
Dr. Honorat has published her research on MS and autoimmune neurology in several top-tier journals like PLoS One, Neurol neuroimm neuroinfl, Ann Neurol, etc. She is a member of American academy of neurology, the American Neurological Association, the International Society of Neuroimmunology, and the Federation of Clinical Immunology Societies (FOCIS).
