Guillermo E. Solorzano MD

Guillermo Solorzano is an Associate Professor of neurology at the University of Virginia. He joined the faculty as a neurohospitalist in 2010. As a neurohospitalist he strives to teach trainees in the basics of neurology as well as inpatient hospital operations and quality improvement. He has served in the neurology clerkship leadership since 2011. Additionally, Dr. Solorzano is a board certified neuromuscular specialist and helps in training neuromuscular and clinical neurophysiology fellows. Dr. Solorzano serves as the Associate Physician Leader of the University of Virginia Health System Neurosciences and Behavioral Health Service Line. In this capacity he helps oversee clinical operations and quality improvements in various departments. He serves on the editorial board of The Neurohospitalist. He completed his Bachelor Degree in Cognitive Science at the University of Virginia. He stayed at UVA for medical school and internship. He completed his neurology residency at UCLA in 2008. He returned to UVA to complete a fellowship in Clinical Neurophysiology-EMG.
