Eric T. Wong, MD is a Fellow of the American Neurological Association. He is the director of the Brain Tumor Center & Neuro-Oncology Unit at Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center and associate professor of neurology at Harvard Medical School. He also serves on the Neuro-Oncology protocol Committee at the Harvard/Dana-Farber Cancer Center in Boston. He is currently the oncology representative for the JK jurisdiction for the Medicare carrier in New England. Dr. Wong’s research is focused on the mechanism of the anti-tumor effect of Tumor Treating Fields on glioblastoma and the translation of this technology in other disease sites in neuro-oncology and oncology. He presented data to an FDA advisory panel on March 15 and 16, 2011 and helped win the approval of this novel treatment modality for patients with recurrent glioblastoma. He is also investigating cerebrospinal fluid biomarkers that can predict response of a brain tumor to treatments. He served on the editorial board of Journal of Clinical Oncology and Cancer Medicine, and as a past president of the Massachusetts Society of Clinical Oncologists.
